- MDC: metadata control software that controls the status of distributed clusters. The system initially deploys at least three MDC modules, and adds a resource pool to automatically start or specify an MDC for the resource pool. Multiple MDC uses Zookeeper to elect a primary MDC. The primary MDC monitors other MDC and restarts the MDC or assigns a managed MDC to the resource pool if the MDC fails. When the primary MDC fails, a new primary MDC is elected.
- OSD: an object storage device service that performs specific I/O operations. MDC monitors the status of OSD in real time. When the primary OSD where the specified Partition is located fails, the storage service automatically switches to the standby OSD in real time to ensure business continuity.
