Phenomenon:

in order to catch thieves in the early stage, yes NETAPP audit logs are performed on the storage volume. audit function, but opened for a long time, there is no thief again, but this audit of volume, space has been automatically increased, wasting space usage and affecting performance. We plan to delete this volume.

Question:

can it be directly in GUI delete this volume.

Answer:

do not delete directly Auditing used volume.

  At least audit close and delete after that,  in progress volume delete.

::> vserver audit show ( view which vserver enabled Auditing)

::> vserver audit disable -vserver <vserver_name>

::> vserver audit delete -vserver <vserver_name>

run:

::>vserver audit show

again:

::> vserver audit disable -vserver SVM-CIFS

again:

::> vserver audit delete -vserver SVM-CIFS

finally GUI end, delete vol_audit related actions.

Although NAS there are not many audit logs, and it is generally not recommended to open them, especially the performance consumption. Therefore, the editor has a question. I don't know whether other vendors can delete them or not, or just check the audit logs of a volume on the interface.
